On the drive down to the coast of Croatia, we stopped inland to check out a National Park that we had read only great things about. Plitvička jezera is famous for its 16 stepped lakes which connect to one another via unbelievably amazing waterfalls. There are walking trails through the park and the shallow lakes have wooden boardwalks leading to the falls, across the water, and to the connected trails. About 1/2 way through the 4-5 hour hike we hopped on a boat to take us to the upper section of lakes where even bigger and more breathtaking waterfalls awaited us!
The whole family at the falls...Leinie was a bit cold :)
Nora & Dad enjoying some early morning hiking
Just one set of MANY beautiful waterfalls in the park
